Shane began what would later become SMHR in 2012 with a high volume recruiting project to support the needs of a friend’s small business.  By 2015 the project became a full-time business as recruiting efforts were expanded to 12 states, a ground-up HR department was established, a company-wide work from home model was deployed, and SMHR began providing temp-to-perm staffing for all new hires.  Shane also incorporated Shane Morgan HR Solutions LLC in 2015, beginning the journey of building a stellar team of HR professionals necessary to service a growing client base.

Beginning his career in human resources at the age of 16 as a trainer in retail; Shane has held HR and payroll positions for over 20 years.  As an HR Consultant for HCM (Human Capital Management) software implementations at NuView Systems and ADP, he has had the opportunity to partner with a variety of domestic and international clients in industries including manufacturing, legal services, utilities, oil & gas, technology, retail, healthcare, non-profit social services, publishing, and transportation.

Originally from Eaton Rapids, Michigan, Shane studied International Relations at Boston University.  Soon after graduation, Shane found himself at an organization offering a full suite of human resource consulting and training programs prompting him to start his masters degree at Harvard.  Working full-time and attending classes full-time paid off in 2009 when Shane received his Master’s in Management with a concentration in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior.

Shane has since settled into his current home after what was intended to be a three-month visit.  Inspired by the cohesive and welcoming nature of the community both personally and professionally, he fell in love with the desert and now lives full time in Uptown Palm Springs.

Martha Marble

Martha is the Director of HR and Payroll Operations. With an employment background that spans law office administration and management roles, she has a keen eye for detail. Martha specializes in all aspects of human resources, from recruiting to payroll, and manages federal and state compliance ensuring SMHR stays abreast of recent law changes and pending legislation.

Martha graduated from Niagara University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Human Resource Management.  She is a wife and mother based in Buffalo, NY.  As a certified Cosmetologist, she still gets behind the chair whenever possible.

Erica Taylor

Erica Taylor

As recruiting specialist, Erica is responsible for overseeing candidate sourcing, assessment, and recommendation for hire.  After exploring various sales roles, Erica found her passion for recruiting when working in the traveling nursing industry.  Her combined skills ensure every candidate’s professional skills meet our client’s needs and each new hire is on-boarded with the tools and support necessary for success, making her an exceptionally valued member of the SMHR team.

Erica graduated from SUNY Buffalo State with a degree in International Affairs.  She is a proud mother and fiancé; when not working she can be found spending time exploring the world with her one-year-old daughter.
